Abstract

Community health centres (CHCs) play a critical role in healthcare delivery in Kenya, yet their effectiveness and reliability are often questioned. A difference-in-differences approach was employed to assess changes in CHC performance before and after implementing quality improvement measures. The study used administrative data from to . CHCs showed a significant increase in service provision by 35% post-intervention, with no statistically significant difference observed between urban and rural areas (p = 0.45). The difference-in-differences model demonstrated the effectiveness of quality improvement measures in enhancing CHC reliability. Further research is recommended to explore long-term effects and cost-benefit analyses. Community Health Centres, Difference-in-Differences, Quality Improvement, Healthcare System Reliability
