Abstract

This study evaluates the clinical outcomes in district hospitals within Nigeria by assessing their systems. A difference-in-differences approach was used to evaluate the impact of changes in district hospital systems on clinical outcomes. Data from multiple hospitals were analysed over time. The analysis revealed a significant improvement (p<0.05) in patient recovery rates after system interventions, indicating enhanced healthcare delivery. The difference-in-differences model demonstrated effectiveness in assessing the impact of district hospital system improvements on clinical outcomes. Further research should explore scalability and sustainability of these findings across different regions of Nigeria. district hospitals, health systems, clinical outcomes, difference-in-differences Treatment effect was estimated with $\text{logit}(p_i)=\beta_0+\beta^\top X_i$, and uncertainty reported using confidence-interval based inference.
