Abstract

Clinical outcomes in field research stations in Uganda have been evaluated through various methodologies; however, the use of difference-in-differences (DID) models to assess their effectiveness is relatively underexplored. The review employs a comprehensive search strategy across relevant databases, including PubMed, Scopus, and Google Scholar. Studies are selected based on inclusion criteria related to the use of DID models and their application in Ugandan agricultural settings. A notable finding is that incorporating DID models into clinical outcome assessments can significantly enhance the robustness of the results by accounting for potential confounders. The systematic literature review underscores the utility of DID models in evaluating field research stations' impact on agricultural practices and clinical outcomes, providing a methodological framework for future studies. Researchers are encouraged to adopt DID models when conducting longitudinal analyses within Ugandan agricultural contexts to improve the reliability and validity of their findings. The empirical specification follows $Y=\beta_0+\beta^\top X+\varepsilon$, and inference is reported with uncertainty-aware statistical criteria.
