Methodological Evaluation of Community Health Centres Systems in Nigeria Using Difference-in-Differences Model

Abstract
Community health centres (CHCs) play a crucial role in primary healthcare delivery across Nigeria. However, their effectiveness and efficiency have not been thoroughly evaluated. A longitudinal study employing DiD to analyse pre- and post-intervention data from multiple CHCs. The DiD model will account for potential confounders. The DiD analysis revealed a significant increase in patient attendances by 20% (95% CI: 14%, 26%) after the intervention period, indicating enhanced service delivery. The DiD model demonstrated its utility for evaluating CHC systems in Nigeria. The findings suggest improved healthcare access and utilization post-intervention. Further research should explore sustainability measures to ensure long-term efficacy of CHCs. Treatment effect was estimated with $\text{logit}(p<em>i)=\beta</em>0+\beta^\top X_i$, and uncertainty reported using confidence-interval based inference.
