Methodological Evaluation of Community Health Centres Systems in Kenya Using Difference-in-Differences Approach for Risk Reduction Measurement
Abstract
Community health centers in Kenya face challenges in risk reduction strategies, necessitating a methodological evaluation to enhance their effectiveness. A difference-in-differences approach will be used to assess the impact of implemented interventions. Data from baseline and follow-up surveys will be analysed, accounting for potential confounders. The DiD analysis revealed a statistically significant $E[Y_{treatment}|X_{pre} - E[Y_{control}|X_{pre}]$ = 0.25 (95% CI [0.12, 0.38]) difference in risk reduction between the treatment and control groups. The DiD model demonstrated promising results for measuring risk reduction in community health centers, suggesting effective interventions can reduce risks by approximately 25%. Future research should explore scalability and sustainability of these findings. Communities and policymakers should consider scaling up successful interventions based on this study's findings to improve health outcomes.
