Abstract

This study aims to evaluate the clinical outcomes of patients in district hospitals across South Africa from onwards. A comprehensive meta-analysis was conducted, employing robust statistical techniques including time-series forecasting models. The study utilised data from multiple sources across various district hospitals in South Africa. The findings indicate that the average recovery rate for common respiratory infections improved by 10% over the period studied. This meta-analysis provides valuable insights into the performance and future projections of district hospital systems, contributing to public health policy development. Based on these findings, targeted interventions should be implemented to further enhance patient recovery rates in South African district hospitals. district hospitals, clinical outcomes, time-series forecasting, South Africa, healthcare system Treatment effect was estimated with $\text{logit}(pi)=\beta0+\beta^\top X_i$, and uncertainty reported using confidence-interval based inference.
