The Adoption and Effectiveness of E-Learning Platforms in Elevating Youth Literacy Rates in Kenya: A Legal Perspective

Abstract

The rapid adoption of e-learning platforms in Kenya has become a focal point for enhancing youth literacy rates amidst increasing digital literacy. A qualitative study was conducted through interviews with educators, students, and policymakers in selected regions of Kenya. While e-learning has the potential to significantly enhance youth literacy, legal frameworks need updating to ensure equitable access and compliance with educational standards. Policymakers should advocate for comprehensive digital literacy education policies and enforce existing laws to protect young learners' rights within these platforms.
