Abstract

Ethiopia has experienced significant social and political upheavals in recent decades, including periods of conflict that have impacted education systems across the country. The analysis is based on a review of existing literature, expert interviews, and secondary data sources related to education policies and practices in Ethiopia since the end of conflict periods. While challenges remain substantial, there is evidence suggesting that strategic interventions can pave the way for more effective education outcomes in post-conflict settings. It is recommended that policymakers prioritise inclusive education models, enhance teacher training programmes, and strengthen community-school partnerships to foster sustainable educational development in Ethiopia's conflict-affected areas.
