Abstract

Community health centres (CHCs) play a crucial role in healthcare delivery in Ghana, particularly in underserved rural areas. A mixed-method approach was employed, incorporating quantitative data from surveys and qualitative insights from focus group discussions. Multilevel logistic regression models were used to analyse the data. The multilevel logistic regression model revealed that socio-economic status significantly influenced CHC adoption rates (\(OR = 1\).52, CI: 1.34-1.73). CHCs in Ghana are being adopted by communities with higher socioeconomic backgrounds. Health policymakers should focus on improving access and services in areas where CHC adoption is lower.
