Comparative Business Practices in Senegal's African Regions
Abstract
Business practices in Senegal's African regions vary significantly, reflecting diverse cultural, economic, and political contexts. The study employed qualitative research methods, including in-depth interviews and participant observation to gather data from key stakeholders such as entrepreneurs, government officials, and community leaders. A notable finding was the significant role of traditional trade networks in facilitating commerce across rural areas, which contrasts with more formalized business practices in urban centers. The research highlights the importance of understanding regional-specific contexts to support sustainable economic development in Senegal’s diverse regions. Policy makers should consider fostering local entrepreneurship and strengthening traditional trade networks to enhance economic integration within Senegalese regions.
