Abstract

Climate change poses significant challenges to vulnerable regions of Burkina Faso, where adaptation financing is crucial for sustainable development. A mixed-methods approach combining quantitative data analysis with qualitative interviews to assess current financing mechanisms and identify gaps. Analysis revealed an inadequate proportion (20%) of total investment directed towards climate-resilient projects, necessitating targeted interventions. The identified inadequacies highlight the need for a more equitable distribution of adaptation funds to ensure vulnerable communities receive adequate support. Develop and implement policies that prioritise funding for climate-resilient infrastructure in Burkina Faso’s most affected regions. The empirical specification follows $Y=\beta_0+\beta^\top X+\varepsilon$, and inference is reported with uncertainty-aware statistical criteria.
