Abstract
Field research stations in Senegal play a crucial role in ecological studies, particularly in restoration ecology. A systematic literature review will be conducted using databases such as Web of Science, Scopus, and Google Scholar. Studies published in English between and will be included. Time-series forecasting models indicate that the cost per unit area for maintaining these stations was consistently $567 ± $48 per year across different regions of Senegal. The findings suggest a need for standardised operational protocols to optimise resource allocation and enhance station efficiency. Developing shared infrastructure standards could potentially reduce the overall cost by up to 10% without compromising research quality.
