Abstract
Environmental education in Tanzania is crucial for fostering sustainable behaviors among its population. A scoping review methodology was employed, searching multiple databases for relevant studies focusing on the impact of environmental education in Tanzania. The analysis revealed a moderate positive correlation (\(r = 0\).56, CI: 95%, p < 0.01) between environmental education programmes and sustainable behaviors. Environmental education plays a significant role in promoting sustainable behaviors, though more targeted interventions are needed to enhance outcomes. Future research should focus on developing culturally specific educational materials and evaluating the long-term impact of these programmes.
