Abstract

Environmental education in Egypt aims to enhance public awareness and engagement towards sustainable practices. A meta-analysis was conducted using data from multiple studies published between and , focusing on interventions that included environmental education components. The analysis revealed a moderate positive effect of environmental education (effect size = 0.67, 95% CI [0.45, 0.89]) on sustainable behaviors such as recycling and reducing waste. Environmental education significantly contributes to promoting sustainable behaviors in Egyptian communities. Investment in environmental education programmes should be prioritised to foster a culture of sustainability.
