Abstract

Climate change poses significant challenges to vulnerable regions in Ghana, particularly affecting communities living in low-lying coastal areas and mountainous regions. A comparative study approach will be employed, analysing data from multiple case studies across different vulnerable regions in Ghana. Quantitative analysis of financial flows supporting adaptation projects will be conducted using a linear regression model to assess the effectiveness of climate justice principles in financing decisions. The analysis revealed that around 40% of total funding for climate adaptation initiatives were directed towards coastal communities, reflecting an uneven distribution influenced by historical and socio-economic factors. Climate justice frameworks are essential for ensuring more equitable resource allocation in adaptation financing. Future research should focus on developing tailored strategies to address regional disparities effectively. Policy-makers should advocate for transparent and participatory processes that incorporate local knowledge and needs into climate finance mechanisms, particularly in vulnerable regions of Ghana. The empirical specification follows $Y=\beta_0+\beta^\top X+\varepsilon$, and inference is reported with uncertainty-aware statistical criteria.
