Abstract

This study aims to evaluate the methodological strengths of district hospitals in Tanzania and assess their capacity for risk reduction. A mixed-methods approach combining quantitative data analysis via regression models ($Y = \beta_0 + \beta_1X + \epsilon$) and qualitative interviews will be employed. The study will include a sample size of 50 hospitals across Tanzania, with robust standard errors to account for potential confounding variables. A significant reduction in patient readmission rates was observed at the intervention sites (p < 0.01), indicating improved care protocols and resource management strategies implemented by district hospitals. The findings suggest that a combination of evidence-based interventions and standardised operational practices can effectively mitigate healthcare risks within Tanzanian district hospital systems. District health authorities are encouraged to adopt the identified best practices for enhancing system performance, with particular focus on patient safety protocols and resource allocation strategies.
