Abstract

The Ethiopian healthcare system faces challenges in providing equitable access to quality clinical care across different districts. Clinical data from six randomly selected district hospitals were analysed over two time periods: pre-intervention and post-intervention. A DiD regression analysis was employed to estimate the impact of interventions on patient outcomes. A significant improvement in hospital readmission rates (30% reduction) was observed after implementing quality control measures, as indicated by a $DiD = -1.2$ with a confidence interval of (-1.5, -0.9). The DiD model effectively quantifies the impact of interventions on clinical outcomes in Ethiopian district hospitals. Further evaluations should be conducted to ensure sustained improvements and broader application of the DiD methodology across Ethiopia's healthcare landscape.
