Abstract
This report examines community-led conservation initiatives aimed at enhancing ecosystem health in Eastern Kenyan fisheries. A comprehensive survey method was used to collect data from fishermen and local communities. Statistical analysis was applied using a t-test for significance testing. Significant improvement in fish population diversity (p < 0.05) was observed, indicating enhanced ecosystem health post-conservation efforts. The community-led conservation initiatives have been effective in improving the health of Eastern Kenyan fisheries ecosystems. Further research should be conducted to understand long-term impacts and sustainability of these initiatives. Treatment effect was estimated with $\text{logit}(pi)=\beta0+\beta^\top X_i$, and uncertainty reported using confidence-interval based inference.
