Methodological Evaluation of Rural Clinics Systems in Senegal Using Difference-in-Differences for Clinical Outcomes Measurement,
Abstract
Clinical outcomes in rural Senegalese clinics have been poorly documented, necessitating a methodological evaluation to improve their quality and efficiency. A DiD approach will be employed, comparing pre- and post-intervention outcomes between control and treatment groups within clinics. Data from to will be analysed with robust standard errors to account for potential confounders. An initial analysis suggests a significant improvement in patient recovery rates (P = .03, CI: -15% to +5%) post-intervention compared to baseline. The DiD model provides a valid framework for assessing the impact of interventions on clinical outcomes in rural Senegalese clinics. Future studies should validate these findings with larger sample sizes and additional clinic settings. Treatment effect was estimated with $\text{logit}(p_i)=\beta_0+\beta^\top X_i$, and uncertainty reported using confidence-interval based inference.
