Abstract

Migrant communities in southern Africa, such as those from Madagascar, face unique challenges related to cultural adaptation and resilience. Qualitative interviews with migrants in southern Africa were conducted to understand their experiences and adaptations. These findings highlight the importance of preserving cultural heritage while fostering community resilience among migrant populations in southern Africa. Policy makers should consider supporting cultural preservation programmes and strengthening intergenerational communication to enhance resilience within these communities.
