Abstract

In Ghana's digital transformation, cultural heritage preservation faces unique challenges as traditional practices merge with modern technology. A qualitative research approach was employed to explore existing policies, stakeholder perspectives, and technological integration strategies in digital preservation efforts. The study identified a significant gap between traditional practices and contemporary technology adoption rates, necessitating tailored policy interventions that balance historical significance with modern accessibility. Policy recommendations are proposed to foster harmonious coexistence of cultural heritage and digital technologies, ensuring sustainable preservation in Ghana’s evolving landscape. Implement culturally sensitive digital platforms for community engagement, encourage technological innovation while preserving authenticity, and advocate for cross-sector collaboration.
