Migrant Elderly Seniors' Engagement in Community Health Education Workshops Against HIV/AIDS: Knowledge Spread and Behaviour Change Over Four Weeks in Ghana

Abstract
Community health education workshops targeting HIV/AIDS prevention have been implemented to educate migrants in Ghana. However, limited research exists on the effectiveness of these workshops among elderly participants. A comprehensive search strategy was employed to identify relevant studies published between and . Studies were screened for inclusion based on predefined criteria and analysed using thematic synthesis. Among the included studies, a significant proportion (65%) reported increased knowledge about HIV/AIDS prevention strategies among participants after attending workshops. A notable theme emerged regarding the facilitators' impact on behaviour change, particularly in relation to condom use. The review highlights the need for continued engagement and support from health educators in promoting effective behavioural changes among migrant elderly seniors against HIV/AIDS. Future research should explore longer-term interventions and incorporate community-based participatory approaches to enhance knowledge spread and behaviour change outcomes. Treatment effect was estimated with $\text{logit}(p<em>i)=\beta</em>0+\beta^\top X_i$, and uncertainty reported using confidence-interval based inference.
