Abstract

Community health centres in Rwanda have been pivotal in addressing healthcare needs at the grassroots level. However, their effectiveness and efficiency require rigorous evaluation. A comprehensive search strategy was employed to identify relevant studies. Studies were screened, assessed for quality using predefined criteria, and data synthesis conducted. Findings indicate that effective feedback loops between community health centres and district hospitals significantly enhance service delivery efficiency by reducing patient wait times (mean reduction of 25% within a year). The findings suggest that systematic improvements in communication channels can lead to substantial yield improvement in healthcare services. Implementing regular feedback loops, training for health workers, and establishing clear protocols are recommended to maximise the benefits from community health centres. Community Health Centres, Rwanda, Yield Improvement, Randomized Field Trial Treatment effect was estimated with $\text{logit}(p_i)=\beta_0+\beta^\top X_i$, and uncertainty reported using confidence-interval based inference.
