Abstract

Community health centres (CHCs) in South Africa are pivotal for delivering primary healthcare services. A difference-in-differences approach was employed to assess the impact of interventions on service delivery effectiveness. The analysis revealed an average increase in patient attendances by 15% after implementing new protocols. CHCs showed significant improvement in operational efficiency, supporting better healthcare access and outcomes. Further research should focus on sustainability and scalability of these interventions. community health centres, difference-in-differences, efficiency gains, primary healthcare Treatment effect was estimated with $\text{logit}(p_i)=\beta_0+\beta^\top X_i$, and uncertainty reported using confidence-interval based inference.
