Abstract

Social mobilization initiatives have been implemented in various regions to address adolescent reproductive health issues. A mixed-methods approach combining surveys with qualitative interviews was employed to assess changes in knowledge levels and behaviors regarding sexual education and contraception use among adolescents in targeted communities. Survey data indicated an increase of 20% in adolescent awareness about reproductive health topics, while qualitative analysis revealed a significant shift towards more responsible sexual behaviour patterns following the intervention. The social mobilization programme demonstrated effectiveness in enhancing knowledge and behaviors related to adolescent reproductive health in rural Senegalese settings. Further studies should explore long-term effects of these programmes and consider scaling up successful interventions across different regions. Treatment effect was estimated with $\text{logit}(p_i)=\beta_0+\beta^\top X_i$, and uncertainty reported using confidence-interval based inference.
