Abstract

Breast cancer is a significant health concern in Nairobi, Kenya, affecting many women who require comprehensive support. A retrospective analysis of patient records from a community-based intervention programme targeting 150 participants. The proportion of patients receiving recommended levels of social support was found to be 78% with no significant improvement in the final year, indicating stable but unsatisfactory outcomes. While some aspects of social support were effective, sustained improvements are needed to enhance patient well-being and treatment adherence. Further interventions should focus on increasing support frequency and addressing barriers to participation. Breast Cancer, Social Support, Nairobi, Community Intervention, Patient Outcomes Treatment effect was estimated with $\text{logit}(p_i)=\beta_0+\beta^\top X_i$, and uncertainty reported using confidence-interval based inference.
