Abstract

Southern African migrant communities in Ghana face unique challenges related to cultural adaptation and resilience. A policy analysis approach was employed, examining existing governmental and non-governmental initiatives aimed at supporting the well-being of Southern African migrants in Ghana. Data were collected through literature review and expert interviews. Findings indicate that while some programmes have successfully improved language training and healthcare access, there is a need for culturally tailored support services to address specific needs within migrant communities. Current policies are effective but require further customization to better serve the diverse cultural backgrounds of Southern African migrants in Ghana. Develop more targeted interventions that incorporate local customs and languages, resulting in improved community resilience and healthcare outcomes for Southern African migrants.
