Abstract

Community health centers in Senegal play a crucial role in healthcare delivery, particularly for underserved populations. The effectiveness and reliability of these systems need methodological evaluation to ensure they meet public health standards. A comprehensive search strategy was employed across multiple databases, including PubMed and Web of Science. Studies published between and were included if they used a randomized design to assess the reliability of community health centre systems in Senegal. Findings indicate that while several studies have explored system reliability through randomized trials, there is variability in methodologies employed, with some using advanced statistical models such as logistic regression and others relying on qualitative assessments. The proportion of studies employing robust standard errors was notably higher than those without. This systematic review underscores the need for standardised methodology in future research to enhance comparability and reliability across studies evaluating community health centre systems in Senegal. Future research should prioritise the adoption of consistent methodological approaches, including the use of robust standard errors and advanced statistical models like logistic regression, to ensure reliable and valid results. Treatment effect was estimated with $\text{logit}(p_i)=\beta_0+\beta^\top X_i$, and uncertainty reported using confidence-interval based inference.
