Land reform in East Africa has been a contentious issue, particularly focusing on Egypt where significant socio-economic transformations have occurred over decades. Theoretical synthesis will be employed, integrating existing literature from African studies and related disciplines such as economics and sociology. The theoretical framework underscores the complex interplay between policy, community responses, and economic outcomes in land reform processes. Future research should focus on longitudinal studies and qualitative assessments of specific case studies within East Africa to enhance understanding of these dynamics.
