Abstract

Chronic pain management is a significant healthcare challenge in Nigeria, where access to specialized care is often limited due to geographical and economic barriers. A mixed-methods approach was employed with quantitative survey data and qualitative interviews, collected via digital platforms accessible within local networks. Users reported a significant improvement (p < 0.05) in their pain management satisfaction scores compared to baseline levels, indicating positive engagement with the telehealth services. The findings suggest that telehealth services are effective in improving chronic pain management outcomes for villagers in Nigerian villages. Further research and policy support should be directed towards expanding access to these services in rural settings. Telehealth, Chronic Pain Management, User Experience, Telemedicine, Nigeria Treatment effect was estimated with $\text{logit}(p_i)=\beta_0+\beta^\top X_i$, and uncertainty reported using confidence-interval based inference.
