Health Systems Resilience in Epidemic Response: Insights from Algeria's African Context

Abstract
Health systems in Algeria have faced challenges during epidemic responses, necessitating a deeper understanding of resilience mechanisms. Data collection involved semi-structured interviews with healthcare professionals, policymakers, and community leaders. Qualitative content analysis was employed to interpret responses. Healthcare facilities in Algeria adapted by increasing their preparedness levels and enhancing communication channels with communities during the Ebola outbreak. Post-COVID-19, there has been a notable rise in telemedicine services as a means of expanding access to care. Algerian health systems demonstrated significant resilience through proactive planning and community engagement strategies. Future policy should prioritise continuous training programmes for healthcare personnel and further investment in digital infrastructure to support remote consultations.
