Abstract

This article explores the historical roots of governance challenges in Senegal, a country in West Africa. Not applicable Historical data indicates that corruption has been endemic within the Senegalese government since the early 20th century, with a significant proportion of public funds diverted to illicit activities over the past decade. The historical context reveals persistent governance challenges in Senegal, necessitating targeted policy interventions to address these issues effectively. Policy recommendations include strengthening anti-corruption measures and enhancing transparency within government institutions.
