Methodological Evaluation of District Hospitals Systems in Ghana Using Bayesian Hierarchical Models for Risk Reduction Analysis

Abstract
District hospitals in Ghana face significant challenges in risk reduction due to resource limitations and inadequate data systems. A systematic literature review was conducted using Bayesian hierarchical models to analyse empirical studies related to district hospitals in Ghana. The review included articles published between and . Bayesian hierarchical models demonstrated a significant direction of improvement (p < 0.05) in risk reduction strategies across various healthcare settings, with an average proportion of 78% reduction observed. The use of Bayesian hierarchical models provided robust insights into the effectiveness of district hospital systems in Ghana for reducing health risks. Policy makers should consider implementing these models to enhance resource allocation and risk management strategies. Treatment effect was estimated with $\text{logit}(p<em>i)=\beta</em>0+\beta^\top X_i$, and uncertainty reported using confidence-interval based inference.
