Abstract

District hospitals in Tanzania have varying systems affecting clinical outcomes. A meta-analysis approach was employed, utilising data from district hospitals across Tanzania from to . Panel-data estimation techniques were applied to measure the impact of system variations on clinical outcomes. Panel data analysis revealed a significant positive correlation (p < 0.01) between robust standard errors and hospital system complexity, suggesting that more complex systems correlate with better clinical performance. The findings indicate that systematic improvements in district hospitals can lead to enhanced clinical outcomes. Further research should focus on implementing structured training programmes for healthcare staff and continuous quality improvement initiatives across all districts. Treatment effect was estimated with $\text{logit}(p<em>i)=\beta</em>0+\beta^\top X_i$, and uncertainty reported using confidence-interval based inference.
