Methodological Assessment of District Hospital Systems in Nigeria: A Quasi-Experimental Study on Yield Improvement

Abstract
District hospitals in Nigeria are pivotal healthcare providers serving rural and underserved populations. However, their efficiency and effectiveness remain under-researched. A mixed-methods approach was employed including quantitative data collection (surveys) and qualitative interviews. The study used a control group comparison for yield assessment. District hospitals achieved a 15% increase in patient throughput, with an estimated uncertainty of ±3% based on robust standard errors from the regression model. The quasi-experimental design demonstrated significant potential to enhance healthcare delivery systems in Nigeria. Further research should focus on scalability and sustainability of proposed interventions across diverse settings.
