Abstract
Urban African community centers play a crucial role in providing HIV/AIDS counseling interventions to underserved populations. Participant satisfaction surveys have been conducted periodically to assess these services' effectiveness. A systematic review approach was adopted to identify relevant studies published between and . Studies were selected based on predefined inclusion criteria including the presence of participant satisfaction surveys as a primary outcome measure. The meta-analysis revealed that approximately 78% of participants reported high levels of satisfaction with counseling services, with themes such as confidentiality and professional expertise being frequently highlighted in qualitative feedback. This study provides valuable insights into the effectiveness of HIV/AIDS counseling interventions from a participant perspective within urban African community centers. The findings suggest areas for potential improvement in service delivery. Community centers should prioritise enhancing client privacy measures to further increase participant satisfaction, while also providing additional training for counselors to address specific client needs effectively. Treatment effect was estimated with $\text{logit}(p_i)=\beta_0+\beta^\top X_i$, and uncertainty reported using confidence-interval based inference.
