Community Pharmacy Support Teams in Northern Uganda: An Effectiveness Assessment

Abstract
Community pharmacy support teams (CPSTs) are established in various healthcare settings to enhance patient care and medication management. The study employed qualitative methods including interviews with participants and document reviews to evaluate CPST activities and outcomes. The findings suggest that well-supported CPSTs can effectively contribute to tuberculosis control efforts by fostering community engagement and improving medication compliance. Expanding the role of CPSTs in rural areas and integrating them into existing healthcare systems could further enhance their impact on TB treatment success rates.
