Abstract

Remote healthcare providers in Zimbabwe face challenges such as geographic isolation and limited access to technology infrastructure. A mixed-methods approach combining qualitative interviews with quantitative data analysis from a survey of 120 remote healthcare providers across Zimbabwe. Telemedicine use increased by 45% in the last year, while mHealth adoption rose to 30%, indicating growing acceptance despite initial skepticism. Despite challenges, there is evidence of increasing technological integration into remote healthcare services, which could improve service delivery and patient outcomes. Investment should be prioritised in telemedicine infrastructure and training for providers to maximise the benefits of these technologies.
