Land Reform and Socio-Economic Dynamics in Post-2006 Uganda: A Pan-African Perspective

Abstract
Land reform in post- Uganda has been a focal point of socio-economic dynamics within East Africa’s agricultural sector. A qualitative approach was employed to analyse policy documents, interviews, and secondary data from governmental archives and academic journals. Despite initial challenges, the integration of smallholder farmers into modern agricultural practices through training programmes and market access initiatives is fostering sustainable development across Uganda’s rural landscapes. Further investment in infrastructure and education for landless communities will be crucial to ensure long-term success and equitable distribution of benefits from land reform policies.
