Abstract

Malawi's public health centers face challenges in ensuring accurate medication dispensing due to manual processes and limited digital integration. A mixed-methods approach including surveys, interviews, and observational studies was employed to assess the impact of the digital platform on dispensing accuracy among health centre staff. The integration resulted in a 15% reduction in medication errors (\(n=200)\) reported by pharmacists compared to baseline levels. The digital platform significantly improved medication accuracy, with no significant adverse effects observed. Health centers should continue using the digital platform and consider additional training for staff on EMR usage.
