Digital Vaccination Registry Systems in Democratic Republic of Congo: Impact on Immunization Coverage Rates

Abstract
In Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC), immunization coverage rates for school-aged children have been below optimal levels, necessitating innovative solutions to improve vaccination effectiveness. The intervention was implemented across three randomly selected provinces, with data collected through regular health facility visits and community surveys. Key performance indicators included vaccination coverage rates and parent-reported compliance levels. Vaccination coverage rates improved by an average of 15% in the study areas compared to baseline periods, indicating a positive effect of digital registry systems on immunization uptake. The digital vaccination registry system showed promising results in enhancing immunization coverage among school-aged children in DRC. Future studies should explore scalability and sustainability across broader regions. Health authorities in DRC are encouraged to adopt the digital vaccination registry model, with particular focus on training healthcare providers and ensuring technological infrastructure is robust and accessible.
