Abstract

Nutrition programmes targeting school-age children in coastal Tanzania aim to improve student health and academic performance. Theoretical model development using existing literature on child nutrition, education, and socioeconomic status in Tanzania. The framework identifies critical areas for programme improvement to enhance student growth outcomes across multiple domains. Nutrition programmes should integrate educational interventions, community engagement, and monitoring mechanisms to achieve sustainable improvements in student health and academic performance.
