Abstract
The Nile Basin is a critical water resource for many African nations, including Tanzania. However, ongoing conflicts and disputes over water resources pose significant challenges to sustainable management. The research employs a qualitative approach, analysing existing case studies and policy documents from the region. Water scarcity is a recurring theme across different regions within the basin, necessitating coordinated management strategies to prevent conflicts over limited resources. Effective water sustainment requires collaborative governance mechanisms that address equitable distribution and sustainable use of Nile Basin water resources. The implementation of joint water management committees and stakeholder engagement platforms is recommended as a key strategy for conflict mitigation.
