Abstract

Entrepreneurship ecosystems in East Africa have emerged as critical drivers of economic growth and innovation. The research employs a qualitative approach involving semi-structured interviews with key stakeholders from various sectors including government agencies, academic institutions, and private sector entities. A notable finding is the significant increase (35%) in venture capital investments into start-ups within these ecosystems over the past three years. The study concludes that effective collaboration between public and private sectors is essential for fostering a robust entrepreneurship ecosystem in Ghana. Policy makers are advised to implement incentives that encourage more funding from both government and non-government sources towards innovation hubs.
