Abstract
The Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC) faces significant gender disparities in legal empowerment within rural communities. A conceptual analysis focusing on existing literature and expert consultations to construct the framework. This theoretical framework identifies areas for policy intervention and legal reform to improve gender justice in rural DRC. Policy makers should prioritise the development of comprehensive legal frameworks that address customary laws and integrate gender-sensitive training programmes for law enforcement officials.
