Abstract
The study examines gendered power dynamics in Mauritian political contexts from to with a focus on African Studies. A qualitative analysis of political speeches, interviews, and legislative records to understand gendered power dynamics during the study period. Gender disparities persist despite some progress, highlighting a need for institutional reforms that address these structural issues. The implementation of gender quotas within political parties and increased media diversity can help mitigate current inequalities.
