Abstract

The adoption of online agricultural training programmes among Ethiopian farmers has gained traction in recent years as a means to enhance productivity and sustainability. A comparative analysis was conducted using data from two regions in Ethiopia, with farmers categorized based on their initial training exposure and participation rates. Initial findings suggest that those exposed to online agricultural training had a higher likelihood of continuing the programme compared to non-participants (75% vs. 40%). The study indicates that continuous engagement is crucial for maintaining the benefits of these programmes, with specific strategies needed to ensure long-term adoption. To promote longevity and effectiveness, future initiatives should include periodic updates and interactive elements to keep farmers engaged.
