Abstract

This study examines comparative business practices across different regions of Nigeria in . Data was collected through a survey methodology involving interviews with key industry figures across selected regions. A comparative analysis framework was used to assess regional differences in business practices. There is a significant variation (p < 0.05) in the proportion of businesses adopting formal contracts compared to informal ones, indicating divergent market transactional norms among regions. The findings highlight distinct business environments across Nigeria's regions, influenced by historical and cultural factors. Policy makers should consider regional-specific business practices when formulating strategies aimed at fostering economic development.
