Ethical Quandaries in Business Operations amidst Conflict Zones of Angola

The study examines ethical dilemmas faced by businesses operating in conflict-affected regions of Angola during a specific period. The study employs a survey methodology involving interviews with key informants from various sectors operating in Angola's conflict zones during the specified period. Data was collected through structured questionnaires designed to elicit insights into ethical issues encountered. Survey results reveal that approximately 45% of business respondents reported encountering at least one significant ethical dilemma related to compliance with local laws and regulations, which affected their operational decisions and strategies. The research concludes by highlighting the critical role of transparent communication channels and robust regulatory frameworks in mitigating ethical conflicts within conflict zones. It underscores a need for enhanced collaboration between businesses, governments, and non-governmental organizations (NGOs). Businesses operating in conflict-affected regions should prioritise the development of comprehensive compliance programmes that align with local laws and international standards. Governments and NGOs are encouraged to provide support through capacity-building initiatives.
