Abstract

This study examines the impact of school-based entrepreneurship training programmes on youth employment and financial stability in urban East African cities. A survey research approach was employed, targeting students from selected schools in Burkina Faso. Data collection involved questionnaires and interviews. The study found that 65% of participants who completed the training programmes reported improved financial stability compared to those without such training. School-based entrepreneurship training programmes significantly contribute to enhancing youth employment opportunities and financial resilience in urban East African cities. Educational institutions should integrate more comprehensive entrepreneurship education into their curricula, with support from community organizations for follow-up mentoring sessions.
